So, I've been working full time all summer - yuck. It's especially yuck because my day starts at 7am and ends at 3:30pm. I have the super glam job of being a janitor at my old high school. You know, scraping gum off desks, wiping graffiti off the walls, dusting fans that haven't been dusted for a year. That sort of thing. Not to mention carrying desks out of and back into the rooms, sweeping and mopping. The calluses on my hands are getting to be ridiculous. And I'm building arm muscle. wtf? There are two things that make the job even better. One, I have to bike there and back on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It's six miles, all downhill on the way there (24 minutes). That means that after working eight hours, I have to bike back in the Ohio heat and humidity ALL UPHILL. It's awesome, let me tell you. The other amazing thing is that of the 866 people I graduated with, I'm working with the ONE girl I cannot stand. My friends laugh at me when I mention her name and pity me. This girl is no only socially awkward, but also doesn't have a compassionate bone in her body. She's convinced that everyone else in the world is going to hell and in the worst way possible. It's such a downer. Then she repeats her stories half the time and the other half she goes on tirades about how much her life sucks. I'm thinking about duct taping her mouth shut. But I'm being paid decently, and I don't have to work any nights or weekends. So it's not all bad. But yeah, that's pretty much all that has been going on in my life. Oh, other than Monday and Wednesday Ultimate Frisbee (the only reason I haven't hitchhiked my way back to OSU)
